Our Story
Harvest for Humanity (H4H) is a not-for-profit organization collaborating with Charles Sturt University (CSU), Beef Bank, Foodbank NSW, and other stakeholders to address the issue of food insecurity. Our mission is to establish a sustainable supply chain for wild-harvested venison, providing a high-quality protein source to diverse communities currently experiencing food insecurity. We aim to enhance access to affordable, healthy food, improve community skills in sourcing and preparing nutritious meals, optimise the supply chain, and bolster essential food support services

We focus on utilising wild-harvested venison, a lean, high-protein, and culturally inclusive food source abundantly available in Australia. By leveraging this sustainable resource, we aim to provide immediate nutritional relief to vulnerable communities while also focusing on long-term solutions. This includes community education, workforce upskilling, and data-driven insights to strengthen food support services.

Furthermore, we are committed to environmental sustainability by encouraging ethical wildlife management practices and reducing food waste. This comprehensive approach not only tackles food insecurity but also promotes community development and ecological balance. We are currently investigating the potential to scale H4H to more regional locations, envisioning a replicable model for regional and national implementation to address food insecurity on a broader scale.
